Lilified

Seeing as Lily is all the rage these days, I felt it only necessary to add my latest photo. Let's see who can top this one!
*sigh.* Blue
eyes are to die for.

Stylista

I am not a rich girl. (see Lindsey's Cool Links post.) But occasionally there are certain indulgences even to which I cannot say no. And it's no secret that Anthropologie is a shop that makes me go weak in the knees. Fun, unique, slightly bohemian--the look I try to replicate while I'm browsing the aisles of Target. (sigh. It's not the same. Not even slightly close.)
And sometimes, sometimes, I feel a twinge of guilt for gawking over $200 cotton tops, for drooling in the name of style. I know very well these are pretty shallow things to daydream over, but hey--I never said I was perfect. I only suggested it.
But a sale? Boy does that change things. Never mind the fact that a sale at Anthropologie doesn't translate into normal English. It only makes you feel a little better when you find yourself casually dragging items into your litte cart icon, just for fun. And then one thing leads to the next...
I'll just cut to the chase.

Isn't the tissue paper thrilling?

This is my Move-On Purse. For the last 18 months of my life I have been sporting the classic black diaper bag, complete with insulated bottle pockets, binky pouches, padded shoulder straps...the works. Fun, sexy, and stylish? Not so much.

I still love you, Finn. And I promise my Best Mom status won't change. Because what no one sees are 4 diapers and a case of wipes tucked away in my chic, new sac. That's right. I still gotta job to do.

It's All About Finn

It's been a while since I've decided to put Finn through another one of my obsessive photo shoots. And although every one of my attempts for a posed shot crumbled to pieces, I still managed to capture a few heart-melting smiles.
Today's post is all about Finn. At 18 months old, he is more than ever: curious, energetic, mischievous, defiant, huggable, funny, playful.

Some Finntastic Facts:

*Absolutely ADORES airplanes at the moment. Anything that hums, buzzes, or swooshes through the sky is an airplane. *Is DEATHLY afraid of flying bugs and snails. Although he's beginning take interest in the ants. *Says "thank you" in Cambodian every time he's given something *Favorite Food: rice. (that's from his dad's side)

He is squirrely and determined, but may be slowed down for a few moments by a Wiggles clip on YouTube or a by flipping through the pages of a fun Look and Say book.

And I LOVE this feisty toddler. I admit there are times, especially after he pulls my hair with his sweaty fingers, that I get closing to losing it. But honestly. He's adorable, totally entertaining, and smart as a button. (which, is really smart.) And I savor each and every toddlery moment because I know it will pass all too quickly.

Lindsey's Cool Links :)

Okay. Working like a horse at my 2.5 hour job (don't laugh) and at my full FULL-time job of Finn-Minding can, at times, make me a lazy, boring person...when it comes to blogging.

So. Today I'm going to share with you some of my current *favorite* sites when I'm in need of Internet-Fast! amusement. Enjoy!
Anthony Bourdain *I actually love his writing more than his show!
Pioneer Woman *so jealous of her writing and photography skills
Crate & Barrel *my dream house in ONE store. sigh.
Accessorize *England has the best accessories. 'Nough said.
Facebook *Lord knows this an evil site determined to rob you of all your free time
Monsoon *Hello?! We NEED a Monsoon in America--and not that kind
Etsy *totally fun.
Scrapblog *(see my picture at top) totally TOTALLY fun. And addicting. And inspiring. And creative.
Anthropologie *"If I were a rich girl, I would ya da da da da da...buy some things from this store."
The Matriarch *You've GOT to see the latest pictures of my niece, Lily.
The Overflow *And...GUESS who's got a new baby? (sounds so easy, right? well, boys, it's not.) Lisa! See baby Kate.
